Are you a YouTuber, blogger, Instagrammer, photographer, food journalist or similar wanting to gain more followers? Perhaps you are a designer, model, artist or musician wanting to promote your work? If you live in or frequently visit Hyogo Prefecture this opportunity is for you.

We are on the look out for content creators and aspiring influencers to share your experience of the region and add to our popular Kobe City and Hyogo Prefecture directory .

Share your favourite restaurants, salons, shops, parks, sightseeing spots and more.

Your work will be credit with links at the bottom of each listing you submit. Once you submit 3 or more listing your profile will feature on our contributors page.

It’s easy to get started.

For your first time contributors, please send us a short profile of yourself (where you are from, how long you have lived in Japan etc.) your photo and links to your website and/or public social media accounts.

Each listing needs the company name, a short write up, a handful of decent quality photos, the address and opening times. In the case of restaurants, cafes or bars please mention if they have an English menu and/or English speaking staff. If you have a related YouTube clip or vlog we will also link it to the post.

Ready to become a contributor? Or have a question? Just email us. By submitting content you agree to the terms and conditions below.

If you would like to write more in-depth blog articles for us, let us know your idea and we’ll make sure it doesn’t overlap with other things we are working on.

We welcome ideas from the community.

For organizations or businesses who want to promote your company, shop or products, please contact us.

The Fine Print

All contributors should agree to these basic terms and guidelines.

  1. All content should be your own, pulling reviews or photos from other sites is not allowed and will get you banned.
  2. No profanity or offensive content. If you want your review to be listed or your video to be linked then don’t swear or have any offensive content.
  3. All write-ups don’t have to be a glowing praise of the business or location, honest critique is best.
  4. Check our directory first to make sure you aren’t doubling up.
  5. Photography
    • Photos should be of a decent quality. There are no exact resolution specifications, most recent model smartphone cameras will be sufficient.
    • Photos should be a true representation of the place, i.e. overly photoshopped photos are no good.
    • Try to capture various aspects of the place, interior, exterior, products etc. Browse our directory for examples.
    • Customers/other people can appear in the background of photos but don’t have them as the main focus (there are exceptions like hair salons, but make sure all parties are happy to have their photo on the Internet).
    • Avoid selfies.
    • Don’t signature or watermark any images.
    • You release the rights of any photographs submitted to HyogoJapan.com and it’s network sites. If we use your photo across any of our social media sites we will always credit you.
  6. Videos
    • Videos should be uploaded to your YouTube (or similar video sharing) account and the link sent to us.
    • You maintain the rights to your videos.
    • Please let us know if you delete any videos so we don’t have broken links on our end.
  7. All content should be in English. Having the Japanese name next to the English name in the opening paragraph is acceptable. e.g. Kobe Port Tower 神戸ポートタワー is one of the most famous landmarks in Kobe.
  8. We are HyogoJapan.com, we only accept places located in Hyogo Prefecture.
  9. We have the right to accept, refuse, delete or alter submitted content as we see appropriate.
