Momoi Museum 桃井ミュ-ジアム is an open air museum and cafe with panoramic views overlooking the Seto Inland Sea.
The museum has various pottery and wind chimes scattered around the garden which you can interact with to hear various sounds. You can view Ako’s original pottery, Unka-Yaki, a unique, unglazed pottery created in Ako in the late Edo period.
The museum also has a cafe serving a handful of drinks such as green tea and coffee plus some homemade cakes.
Momoi Museum is best accessed by car. Parking is free. Entrance is ¥500 (however, when we visited we queried about the entrance fee and said we wanted a coffee and they waived the entrance). Limited or no English spoken. Please visit their social media accounts or website for the latest information, open times etc. (in Japanese).
