Awaji Island is famous for onions and the best way to eat them is in an Awajishima Burger at the very tip of Awaji Island! Overlooking the Onaruto Bridge towards Shikoku Island dig into an Awajishima onion beef burger and finish it off with a soft serve cone. There are a variety of burgers and side dishes to choose from.
There are a couple of places to get an original Awaji burger, here we have linked to the Michi-No-Eki Uzushio (Uzushio road side stop). At this highway rest area you can buy some souvenirs (including many Awaji Onion snacks) and take a walk under and around the bridge to enjoy some fantastic views.
