Craft Circus Awaji クラフトサーカス combines two seaside restaurants, a food market and global goods market, all with plenty of outdoor seating and stunning views of the bay. As you enter the front garden of the facility you can see some comfortable outdoor furniture with artwork
Craft Circus underwent a major upgrade in July 2022 and now has more photogenic insta spots divided into four main areas.
Seafood Market Restaurant or Kaiou Ichiba 海王市場 serves a variety of fresh seafood dishes including sushi. sushi rolls and seafood donburi. It specialises in seafood BBQ sets which start at ¥4800 and serves between 2-3 people. There are fish tanks around the main chefs area where you can watch them catch and prepare your meal.
Craft Kitchen クラフトキッチン is home to the 40cm “Island Pizza” range, the Awaji Beef Mega Burger and a seafood paella which is prefect to share. There are also a handful of sides and desserts.
Wherever you sit at you are free to order from both menus. It’s a self service style so you need to order and pay at each place separately. You’ll get a buzzer to tell you when your food is ready. The cafe also has a dog friendly corner if you bring your best friend on the trip.
At the Craft Marche you can find locally produce vegetables, fruits, conserves and baked goods. Finally at Global Market there is a range of goods and clothing, mostly beach themed, from around the world.
Located on the northwest coast of Awaji Island, Craft Circus Awaji is best accessed by car or the free shuttle bus that runs from Iwaya Port.
