Hamafukutsuru Ginjo Brewery

Hamafukutsuru Ginjo Brewery is located in Uozaki-go, part of the renowned Nadagogo brewing district in Kobe is about a 10 minute walk from Uozaki station.

It has an exhibition space with English information on the 2nd floor. There is a small display of old sake brewing equipment and large windows which let you view the modern sake brewing process.

The large gift shop on the first floor has a free tasting corner and also a paid tasting counter. When we visited the brewery, the legendary Yoneji-san was serving the free sake tasting. He has been working in the brewery for over 60 years and has his name on many of the Hamafukutsuru bottles.

Yoneji-san was a very generous with his free pours (the best in the district), we lost count but it was around 12 different sake tastings on our visit.
