Ishigadani Park 石ケ谷公園 is another little hidden gem in Hyogo Prefecture. The park surrounds the Akashi Central Gymnasium and is home to the Akashi Horse Riding Association.
There is a large plum tree field with he beautiful plum blossoms blooming in late February/early March. Families can enjoy playing catch or kicking a football in the open park ground which is surrounded by cherry blossoms.
The walking tracks connect each part of the park take you past the horse field, a small England Garden herb garden and the children’s play ground with large slides. View a map of Ishigadani Park here.
The park is best accessed by car, or a roughly 3.5km walk from JR Okubo Station.
