Awaji Jenova Line Iwaya Port 淡路ジェノバライン is the ferry terminal which takes you into Akashi Port. This is an old port with a small shop selling some Awaji produce. A bus stop and taxi stand are located just outside.
The journey to Akashi takes just 15 minutes and costs ¥500 for adults. You buy your ticket from the ticket vending machine located inside the port office.
There are 3 kinds of boats which take you across depending on the time of day. The biggest is the Marine Awaji with plenty of in and outside seating.
