Kakogawa Marine Culture Center

Kakogawa Marine Culture Center 加古川海洋文化センター is a culture/community center with a nice exhibition space for children to learn about marine life and an indoor play center. Most of the facility is Japanese only.

The library on the second floor has plenty of books, magazines and newspapers. Anyone is free to read the books in the library but only residence of Kakogawa and Harima area can borrow books.

An outdoor paddle pool (30cm deep) is good for the kids is open in the summer months. The cafe is located on the marine side and has views over the bay and Shikoku.

Kakogawa Marine Culture Center is a 25 minute walk from Sanyo Beppu Station. Best accessed by car with free parking available.
