NEW Experience at Kakurinji Temple

Kakurin-ji Temple 鶴林寺 in Kakogawa was established in 589. With this long history the main hall built in 1397 and Taishido built in 1112 are listed as national treasures of Japan. This is a surprisingly pleasant temple grounds to explore if you are in this area of Japan.
There are a total of 8 buildings on the temple grounds including a 3 story pagoda and bell tower. Each building has an English signboard with explanation, however there is no English brochure.
Entry is ¥500 with and extra ¥300 to see inside the museum.
Access by car with free parking available or around a 25 minute walk from JR Kakogawa Station.
