Profile
Kobe Port Tower is located in Kobe’s Harborland area and along with the Kobe Maritime Museum has become an iconic symbol of Kobe. It’s 108 metres high with an observation deck at around 90 metres. The tower was completed in 1963.
From the top observation deck you can get a 360-degree panorama view of Kobe City and the bay. There are souvenir shops and some cafes located on the lower floors inside the tower.
Admission to the Kobe Port Tower’s observation deck is ¥700 for adults. A combination ticket which gets you into the tower and the Kobe Maritime Museum can be purchased for ¥1000.
Every itinerary to Kobe must include an afternoon/evening in Harborland, including a visit to Port Tower and a walk around Meriken Park with a selfie in front of the Be Kobe sign.
NEW: The 3rd floor of Kobe Port Tower is now home to the SAKE TARU LOUNGE, a sake bar where you can buy some of the best sake from the region. Enjoy sake, pairing sets and panorama views of Kobe as the floor slowly rotates.
