Maiko Park (舞子公園) is located just in front of JR Maiko Station and is at the base of the magnificent Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.
There are plenty of grass areas to relax and walking paths that take you through peaceful trees and along the harbor. There are often events held in the park including free outdoor concerts and craft beer events.
Maiko Park is also home to the Former Residence of the Kinoshita Family, the Former Residence of Sanji Mutoand and the Sun-Yat Memorial Hall (http://sonbun.or.jp/en/index.php).
The Maiko Marine Promenade is also located here, this takes you for a walk up into the viewing deck of the bridge for amazing views of Kobe.
Park entry is free, to enter the former residences there is a charge.
