The shop we list here is the Nishimura Kitanozaka shop in the stylish Kitano area of Kobe. It started as a members only cafe in 1974 and was open to the public after the 1995 Hanshin Awaji Earthquake.
The first floor is non-smoking and enables you to relax in a traditional atmosphere of yesteryear. Yes, smoking is still a thing here in Japan so you have to check at some cafes if there is a non-smoking section and how well separated the areas are.
