The Old Kobe Bar on the corner of Old Kobe Street and Higashimon Street is a sophisticated whiskey bar in the heart of Kobe. This counter only bar has a great selection of whiskey, draught beer and cocktails. Prices range from ¥700 and up, so a few drinks in and it could be quite an expensive night. There was no seating charge.
There didn’t seem to be a menu, so you’ll have to know what you want. If you are worried about the cost you might have to ask how much in Japanese – “ikura desuka?” – as English is limited.
