Sorakuen is a tradition Japanese Garden and another hidden gem of Kobe. The central pond is surrounded by a sprawling garden which changes with the season.
You can also see a traditional East-meets-West house built in 1902. The Hassamu House was located in Kobe’s Kitano district before being moved to Sorakuen in 1963.
Sorakuen is located a 5 minute walk from Kenchomae Station on the Kobe Subway line or about 10 minutes from JR Motomachi Station.
