Suma Beach is the main beach in Kobe. This roughly 1.5km stretch of sand is easily accessed from anywhere in Kansai as JR Suma station is located on the beach front.
The beach has nice walking paths and is generally peaceful and clean throughout the year. However things change in summer during a six week period, when the beach is “open” for swimming and the beach bars are running. View our blog post about summer at Suma Beach here.
