Suma Rikyu Park 須磨離宮公園 is a wide open park with beautiful views of the bay.

The popular rose garden blooms twice a year, from early May to mid-June and mid-October to late November. This gorgeous display of roses is the best in Kobe with 180 different kinds.

Suma Rikyu Park boosts a wide range of other flowers including water lilies and hydrangeas.

There is also a restaurant / cafe which was renovated in February 2019 which serves lunch until 3pm and the cafe is open until 4:30pm. You can find the restaurant info here.

Plus for the kids a great outdoor obstacle course including flying foxes and rope bridges.

It’s a 10 minute walk from Tsukimiyama Station on the Sanyo railway. Admission is ¥400.

Park opening times are extended for different events such as night time maple tree viewing in autumn.
