Tenran Cafe and Observatory is located at the Rokko Sanjo Station, which is the upper end of the Rokko Cable Car.
The Tenran Cafe serves simple, elegant and good volume meals. We visited at lunch time and had a pasta dish with side of soup and salad for ¥1350. They also have a variety of local drinks. The Rokko-San craft beer went down well for ¥650. The cafe has a terrace area that can sit about 20 people.
The main reason you come up here though is for the “10 million dollar” night view looking over Kobe, Osaka and the bay. The day time view is pretty decent too.
