Uontana (Uo-no-tana) is a local fish market and shopping street in Akashi, Hyogo. It is believed to have started around 400 years ago and continues to be a lively spot to buy fresh seafood or grab a bite at one of the many little eateries.
Akashi is famous as a fishing port, especially for octopus. Come and enjoy some akashiyaki (Akashi style takoyaki) or sushi at Uontana. Located just across the road from JR Akashi Station.
Uontana was featured in Episode 4 of the Japanese series Hajimete no Otsukai whichNetflix released under the name ofOld Enough! In 2022.
