Profile
Yodel Forest (ヨーデルの森) is a rural farm park located in the central Hyogo area of Kanzaki-gun. This park is great for families with lots of animals to see and activities to do for children.
There are bird shows, horse rides, a petting zoo with capybaras, guinea pigs and ducks. Sheep, goats, alpaca and kangaroos are also on site. There are different seasonal events like bird shows and dog shows.
Kids can enjoy paddle-boat rides, a hill slide, go carting and have fun playing in the water during the warmer months. Take note, most of these activities cost an extra ¥300 or so. With a couple of kids this could add up quickly.
There are 2 restaurants and a BBQ terrace on site for lunch and you can also BYO lunch and enjoy a picnic. However you can’t bring supermarket/convenience bentos into the grounds (I guess they cause a lot of rubbish). Your own tupper is fine.
Entrance is ¥1000 for adults (Junior high and above) and ¥500 for children over four. Yodel Forest is best accessed by car, about a 90 minute drive from central Kobe. You can also catch a bus that takes about 8 minutes from JR Ikuno Station, Asago. There are only a limited number of buses per day so you would want to time things well.
Note: The dinosaurs on display in a couple of the photos were a limited exhibition running from September to November 2020.
