Profile
The traffic noise falls away and the immaculate kept grounds greet you as you enter through the torii gate at Nishinomiya Shrine 西宮神社. This shrine is known as Ebessan home to Ebisu, the god of commerce and wealth. Every year the Toka-Ebisu Festival is held in January and attracts large crowds over the 3 day event.
The grounds are spacious with nice gardens, a tea house and a handful of shrine buildings located around the ground. Nishinomiya Shrine’s main hall is impressive with 2 horse statues either side.
Access, a short walk south from Hanshin Nishinomiya Station along the appropriately names Ebassan-suji Road.
