Suma Aqualife Park Kobe (Suma Aquarium) is a beach front aquarium in Kobe, just a short walk south from JR Sumakaihinkoen Station. The aquarium celebrates its 60th year in 2017. Admission is just ¥1300 for adults with discounts for students and free entry for children under 5.
There are various shows and exhibitions which change throughout the year. The opening times also vary each season, with the summer and winter season usually open until late (9pm or 10pm) with special illumination displays. Please check their official website for accurate times.
The dolphin show can get quite full, especially on weekends or public holidays, so check the showtimes and plan ahead. There is a playland for kids and a handful of food and souvenir shops. Great for a day out for families with little ones!
