Kobe’s nights have just gotten little more exciting over the summer with the Kobe Night Pool Party at Kobe Minato Onsen REN kicking off on June 1st.
This night pool is a luxury event for adults with spectacular views of Kobe’s harbour. Relax poolside with a cocktail and let the DJs or live musicians entertain you during the weekend.
You are given a waterproof RFID bracelet when you enter which allows you to purchase drinks and food at the poolside bar. Choose from a range of cocktails (alcoholic or non-alcohic), beer, wines and a selection of food. View the poolside menu here (PDF).
The pool is open weekdays with a more relaxing atmosphere and entry includes use of the onsen spas and lap pool at REN. Things pick up (along with the entry price) on the weekend with the Kobe Night Pool Party. DJs and live musicians entertain. The event schedule is up here.

Monday ~ Thursday: ¥4300
Friday ~ Sunday: Men ¥7500, Ladies ¥5500, Couples ¥11,000.
Every Friday in June is weekday price of ¥4300
Weekday prices from August 12th ~ 16th (Obon) are ¥4700
Entry includes 1 poolside drink.
Access:
There is a free shuttle bus that departs from Sannomiya every 30 minutes. A taxi ride is about ¥1200 or it’s a 20min walk from Sannomiya Station.
One more thing:
Unfortunately, like a lot of hot spring resorts in Japan, there is a strict no tattoo policy.
